You can’t just do one treatment, cross your fingers and hope for the best.
Because if you don't believe you are going to survive, in my opinion, you probably won't.
So first, you need to really cement the idea in your mind that survival IS POSSIBLE.

Like I did…
Yes, WEEKS. My doctor said my abdomen was littered with tumors and there wasn’t much that could be done. He suggested a radical surgery but warned me that the surgery probably wouldn’t cure me.
(Note: This was in 1997. Since then, the HIPEC procedure has dramatically improved life expectancy for peritoneal mesothelioma patients.)
Even though I had few options and little chance of survival, I had a wife and kids and refused to give up on them.
Determined to fight for my life, my wife and I set out to find out everything we possibly could about healing cancer. At the time, there was almost no information on surviving mesothelioma on the internet.
So we dug through old, out-of-print books. Medical literature. Scientific studies. We interviewed doctors, nutritionists, naturopaths and even meditation experts.
I told myself: All I have to do is survive the next 24 hours. Then do the same thing tomorrow.
I completely overhauled my diet and lifestyle. I started exercising even though I didn’t feel like it. I began taking Chinese herbs and alternative medicines. I tried ozone therapy and high-dose intravenous vitamin C.
I tried everything under the sun (except surgery, chemo or radiation, because my doctor told me these wouldn't help).
But a few months went by and my doctor gave me the news that no cancer patient wants to hear:
The scans hadn’t changed at all. I still had mesothelioma.
It felt like a kick in the stomach. All that hard work… wasted. Or so I thought.
Then my doctor said:
So… I did. I kept researching and experimenting. I spoke with more experts and consulted with some of the top cancer specialists in the country. I attended cancer retreats. Read book after book.
Days, weeks and months kept rolling by… and I was still alive. That’s when it dawned on me:
Hey, maybe this is really working.
So I kept on living my life. Doing my therapies. And ignoring the scans.
And my mesothelioma never went away - but it never got worse either. I was able to live with it.
Eventually people started to notice. A news crew showed up at my house and interviewed me. I started appearing on TV and in the papers. When I saw how interested people were, I thought: I need to help more people.
So I decided to write a book, sharing the survival strategies and unique treatments that have helped me outlive my prognosis by over two decades (and counting).
Countless rewrites and several years later, "Surviving Mesothelioma: A Patient’s Guide" was born.
